1. General Information

GoCar North Macedonia operates as a car hire platform that connects customers with trusted local car rental partners in North Macedonia. We act as an intermediary, allowing you to compare offers, make reservations, and receive booking confirmations directly from verified local suppliers.

2. Booking Process

✅ Bookings are made online through our website and confirmed via email.
✅ Once your booking is confirmed, a rental contract is formed between you (the customer) and the local rental company providing the vehicle.
✅ All details including vehicle type, pickup time, deposit, and payment method are displayed before booking.
✅ Some vehicles may require a minimum driver age or a valid license held for a specific period (usually at least one year).

3. Payment & Deposit

💳 GoCar North Macedonia offers flexible payment methods, including debit card, credit card, and cash (depending on supplier).
💰 Deposits vary by vehicle and supplier. Low deposit or zero-deposit options are clearly indicated on the booking page.
🪙 The deposit is refunded once the vehicle is returned in the same condition and all rental terms have been met.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

✔️ Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the pickup time.
✔️ Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a partial or full charge depending on the local supplier’s policy.
✔️ Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after cancellation confirmation.

5. Driver Requirements

🚗 Drivers must hold a valid driving license recognized in North Macedonia.
🧾 A passport or national ID is required for identification at pickup.
🎯 Minimum driver age is typically 21 years, though certain vehicles may require drivers to be 25 or older.

6. Vehicle Collection & Return

The renter must inspect the car before signing the rental agreement. Any damages or irregularities must be reported to the rental agent immediately. The car must be returned with the agreed fuel level, at the specified time and location stated in the contract. Late returns may result in additional charges.

7. Insurance & Coverage

🛡️ All vehicles include basic insurance (CDW – Collision Damage Waiver).
🔐 Additional insurance (Full Protection or Super CDW) may be purchased for reduced liability or zero excess.
⚠️ Insurance does not cover damage caused by negligence, off-road driving, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8. Fuel Policy

Fuel policies may vary by supplier and are always displayed during booking (e.g., full-to-full or same-to-same). The renter is responsible for refueling the car before return, unless otherwise agreed in the contract.

9. Cross-Border Travel

Driving outside North Macedonia is permitted only with prior approval from the rental supplier and may include additional documentation or fees. Unauthorized border crossings are strictly prohibited and may void insurance coverage.

10. Responsibility & Liability

GoCar North Macedonia is not responsible for disputes or claims between the customer and the local car rental provider. Our role is to facilitate communication and ensure fair service standards. The final rental agreement, signed upon pickup, governs the terms between you and the supplier.

11. Modifications to Bookings

Any changes to pickup time, vehicle type, or location should be communicated in advance. Modifications are subject to vehicle availability and may result in a rate adjustment.

12. Website Content

We make every effort to ensure that all information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, GoCar North Macedonia does not accept responsibility for minor discrepancies in vehicle models, specifications, or local rental terms provided by third-party partners.

13. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We comply with GDPR and ensure secure handling of your information.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of North Macedonia. Any disputes arising from the use of our website or booking services will be handled by the competent courts of Skopje, North Macedonia.
